Four students from Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently attended the State Leadership Conference in Rochester. These students successfully competed at the divisional meeting, allowing them to be eligible to compete at states. The three-day event hosted 752 attendees from 53 schools across New York state. The four students competing from BPHS were sophomores Logan Haight, Evelynn Magagnos, and Jay Mannato, and junior Alex Vogel.
Students in Wendy Stokna's personal finance class at Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School recently had a visit from First Choice Financial Federal Credit Union to learn about managing finances. Christine Carpenter and Paul Naslund presented on financial awareness, speaking about the connection between financial institutions and success with personal finance.
Congratulations to four Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School students who recently won awards for the FMCC Regional HS Exhibition and Regional Art Show at the Paul Nigra Center.
Members of the community are invited to join the Broadalbin-Perth Elementary Drama Club on a colorful, magical, musical adventure in its production of "Seussical Jr.," April 19-21. Tickets for all performances are on sale now and may be purchased online for $7 each plus fees.
Broadalbin-Perth Elementary School recently recognized select students in pre-K through grade 6 for exhibiting the character trait "service." In all, 84 students were recognized.
Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School recently hosted more than 45 vendors for the district's first Skilled Trades and Engineering Fair. The fair was open to students at BPHS, as well as students in neighboring districts. The event was deemed a success, with more than 500 students in attendance from five different school districts. Many of the vendors were also B-P alumni, who were eager to return to the school and share with students possible career options.
